What are your office hours?

I am typically in the office Monday through Thursday, 9am – 3pm.

Do you take insurance?

The short answer is no. Patients pay me directly for my services.

Why don’t you take insurance?

Without involving insurance companies, I am able to eliminate the intrusion of a third party into your treatment and maintain your privacy. I also do not believe insurance companies have your or my best interests at heart.

However, if you have out-of-network benefits with a private insurance company, you may be able to submit a claim and get reimbursed directly.

Can you help me file with my insurance?

Yes, if you have private insurance, I can provide you with a receipt and the codes required for you to file with your insurance, but I won’t file a claim for you. I can’t do this for Medicaid or Medicare.

What are the costs?

Please expect an investment of $4000-$6000 for the first 4-6 months of treatment. Some patients opt for a payment plan.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I do not.

How do I pay?

You can pay online via credit card.

How often will I come?

Anywhere from weekly to every other week.

Do you do psychological testing?

No, but I can recommend folks who do.

How do I make an appointment?

Can I cancel an appointment? Do you have a cancellation policy?

Because I do not overbook my time, I ask that you give two business days’ notice when canceling an appointment.

Without appropriate notice, I charge for missed appointments.

Are you licensed?

Yes, I am licensed by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure and am board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

How long have you been in practice?

I became a physician in 2010.

What age ranges do you work with?

My specialty is seeing women 30 and older.

Is our work confidential?

Yes, with a few exceptions – if you say you’re going to harm yourself or someone else, or if I hear about anyone being abused or neglected, I am obligated to intervene for safety reasons

How long will we work together?

It depends.

If we’re a fit, we’ll agree to work together for at least four months. Many of my patients end up working with me for close to a year. The focus is working intensively to help you reach your goals, however long that takes!
